Arowana is an ancient primitive freshwater fish. Its original place is in rivers and lakes of Malaysia, Indonesia, Sumatra, and other places. The adult fish is 40-50 cm long and can live for decades. Fierce temperament, mainly hunting live fish and shrimp, aquatic insects, frogs and so on. Arowana lays fish eggs first then incubate them in their mouth. It has been developed as an ornamental fish since the middle and late 20th century. Because of its glittering metallic lusters like armor scales and bright light colors such as gold and red, it has attracted much attention for its magnificent demeanor. Its price is very high and it is one of the very expensive ornamental fish.

To keep Arowana well, one of the most important condition is to improve the water quality in the fish tank. You know, tap water in any city will contain some chlorine when it comes out of the tap water pipe. Chlorine is harmful to Arowanas, so we need to remove chlorine from the tap water. Firstly, put the tap water under the sun for a few hours, then pour the tap water into the fish tank, and turn on the filter for 3 days, and then adjust the water temperature in the fish tank to 27-28 ° C, then continue to filter water for 3 days, you can then put your favorite Arowana into the tank. We suggest you can try this
External Hanging On Aquarium Filter. It has filtration, oxygen aeration and surface skimmer function can quietly deliver 380 gallons per hour of crystal clear water for your fresh or marine aquariums. An adjustable flow knob allows you to reduce filtration.

Arowana is a kind of large fish. The size of adult Arowana can reach to 50-60cm. Therefore, we need to prepare a fish tank with a length of 1.2-1.5m and a width of 50-60cm to keep your favorite fish. Arowanas are very long-lived. If they are well-kept, they can accompany you for 30-50 years, so how do we feed them well? In fact, it is very simple, that is, feeding them an appropriate amount feed at a fixed time every day. For 20-30cm long Arowanas, we can feed them 1-2 times a day, each time to 70-80% full. Arowanas with a length of 30-45cm can be fed once a day to 70-80% full. Arowanas longer than 45cm can be fed once every other day, 70-80% full each time.
